Hawzah News Agency- the Iraqi Islamic Resistance released a statement as follows:
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
"Fight in the way of God those who fight you, and do not transgress. Indeed, God does not like transgressors." (Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 190)
After the Islamic Resistance categorically denied any involvement in the targeting of Saudi facilities, the American enemy committed a new crime by striking Popular Mobilization Forces (al-Hashd al-Sha'bi) personnel while they were engaged in serving the pilgrims of Imam Hussein (PBUH) in holy Karbala, resulting in the martyrdom and wounding of dozens.
We emphasize without any hesitation that the Saudi regime has never been, and will never be, anything other than a treacherous dagger or a filthy tool in the hands of the White House and its suspicious intelligence agencies. Just as it offered its facilities yesterday to dispatch suicide bombers to spill Iraqi blood, today it disgracefully extends a mercenary contract to carry out the crimes of its masters and their criminal dictates, aimed at striking the will of our proud nation.
Even if we were to assume the validity of their claims that the source of the attack on their oil facilities originated from Iraq, is it rational for the response to a (failed) attempt to target an oil field to be the killing and wounding of dozens of innocent people?!
If, at this critical stage, we were to assume that we have handed over our weapons and missiles to the government so that it may assume the reins of defending Iraq's sovereignty and the sanctity of its land and people, then what decisive stance will the government take in the face of this "real field test"? The government must prove to all that it possesses deterrence capability against aggressors and will avenge the pure blood of the martyrs, rather than acting as the men of the Resistance have previously done time and again in Iraq.
Based on the foregoing, we declare the following:
First: We give the government parties that have called on the Resistance to lay down its arms a deadline until the 23rd of Safar in Lunar calendar to see what action they will take.
Second: Out of concern for safeguarding the security of the pilgrims of Aba Abdillah al-Hussein (PBUH) and the custodians of the Hussaini service tents (mawakib), and to prevent any disruption to the Arbaeen pilgrimage before its conclusion, our response to the American enemy will most certainly and undoubtedly arrive in the near future, and its tools in Saudi Arabia will not be spared whenever the appropriate time comes.
May God's mercy and blessings be upon our pure martyrs, and may He grant a speedy recovery to the honored wounded.
